Suns crumble after first quarter, fall to Hawks

gettyimages-519288184

The Phoenix Suns played a strong first quarter, but aside from that they had some very forgettable basketball.  The Hawks ended up winning 103-90.

The Atlanta Hawks had some nice production from Jeff Teague, Kent Bazemore, and Paul Millsap.  Teague went for 20 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Bazemore had 17 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals.  Millsap had 13 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and three blocks.  The Hawks had great contributions from all of these guys on offense and defense.  The real story in this game is how atrocious Dennis Schroder’s hair looks.

Here’s a link to his Instagram.  It looks like Schroder dyed the back of his head himself.  I don’e even want to comment on his game because his hair was so distracting.

The Suns put up 38 points in a very promising first quarter.  After that they failed to score more than 18 points in a quarter.  They also had 24 turnovers that fueled the tank.  This tank is a well-oiled machine, but I’m pretty excited for it to come to a halt.

Which Suns Shone the Brightest?

1. Mirza Teletovic – Teletovic broke the record for most threes made off the bench in a season tonight.  He has been a real bright spot in Phoenix this season and it’s really exciting to see him break the record.

2. Devin Booker – The Almighty Armani had 34 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  This scoring outburst should get Suns fans excited.  I cannot wait to see him play in more meaningful games next season.

3. Dennis Schroder’s hair – I just can’t get over this.  It leaves me with so many questions.  Why?  How?  What?  It stuck out like a sore thumb and I really don’t understand this look.

The Suns will head to Houston to face the Rockets on Thursday, April 7 at 5:00 PM Pacific.
