The Phoenix Suns were blown out 124-84 by the Los Angeles Clippers in a game that I hardly want to talk about.

The scoring was spread out for the Clippers, but the high man was sharp-shooter J.J. Reddick who had 22 points and he went 4-6 from three point range.  DeAndre Jordan also wreaked havoc down low with 17 points, 11 rebounds, an assist, and four blocks.  He is a monster down low and there was nothing Phoenix could do to stop him.

Recent Clippers’ addition, Jeff Green had a good game with 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a block.  Chris Paul did his usual damage with 16 points, two rebounds, 14 assists, and two steals.  The Clippers were firing on all cylinders as the Suns continue to tank.

I understand that we are in a tanking situation, but a 40 point loss is never fun.  The only stats that really matter for the Suns in this game was the final score.  84 points will not ever be enough to beat an NBA team in this day and age.  The Phoenix defense is definitely in tank mode.  Giving up 124 points is embarrassing.

Which Suns Shone the Brightest?

1. Alex Len – Len is the sole shining Sun in this black hole of a game.  He finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, an assist, and two steals.  His development continues to come along nicely and it’s exciting to see him become a building block for the team’s future.

The Suns return home to face the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, February 25 at 7:00 PM local time.
