Rockets beat Utah for the 2nd time this week

Houston beats Utah for the second time in as many games. A lot of players out for both sides in this one as well. Utah had the same guys out from last time except for Gobert who was back in the line up for the first time in weeks, but only played 15 minutes.

Houston was without Howard who’s back tightend up during shoot around, Lawson (suspension for 3 games due to one of his DUIs last year). and D-Mo. Thornton who had missed a few games due to the birth of his child, came back and it was like he never left, contributing 12 points on 4-9 shooting.

Terrance Jones also was back in a way. He had a horrible game in which Bickerstaff benched him in the 2nd half. He started due to Howard’s injury and showed a lot more effort on the glass (8 rebounds) and put up 14 points on 6-10 shooting as well.

The Jazz as a team were not nearly as effective on the offensive glass (only 10 boards), even with Dwight’s absence. And they weren’t as accurate from 3 in this game either (7-28).

Blah, blah, blah, James Harden had 33 points on 13-25 shooting (try not to act surprised).

The win wasn’t anything big, seeing as Utah was coming off of playing last night in San Antonio, in addition to all the injuries their team is suffering. But it was certainly a game we could lose. Houston has actually had a pretty mediocre record against teams like the Jazz that have a record of just a few games under .500. So getting these two wins is hopefully a sign that Houston could get back to consistently beating teams they are definitely better than.
